Explore the development process of your student project in detail and discover the inspiring categories you can dive into.
Completing a project as part of your Engame studies offers an opportunity to experiment with and expand your knowledge about a theme or question that you're passionate about.
As part of this hands-on, personal learning experience, you'll also improve a wide range of skills from planning to project management and presentation, and build a sense of autonomy, complexity awareness and resilience about accomplishing something on your own accord. Enjoy the journey!
๐ Completing a Project in Freshman, Sophomore and Freshmoreย
Lower year students can create a project individually or choose to work in small groups of 2 or 3.
Focus areas are teamwork, project management and gaining insight into an academic/professional area.
If you completed a project in Freshman / Sophomore, you can consider expanding your project or you can start a new one in Junior year.
๐ Your Project in Junior year
From Junior, we encourage students to complete an individual project (though cross-collaborations between projects are supported).
The focus here is to strengthen your university application profile, and to deepen your insight into an academic/ professional area to support your orientation.
๐ค Group sessions
Project Kickoffย
During Discovery Week - Term 1 and 3
This session is for students intending to start working on their project, to give them an overall understanding of what a student project is, its benefits, and to help with ideas and inspiration to develop an idea to start with.
Project Check-in
During Discovery Week - Term 2, 3 and 4
Designed to harness the insight and support of the group, this session brings together students working on a project, whatever stage they're at. We'll sound out your idea, offer feedback, and help you move on in a constructive and inspiring fashion!ย
๐ฅ Other sources of support
Mentor's support
Your mentor will confirm your chosen topic, and is available through all stages to answer questions, offer guidance or give you feedback on any aspect of your project.
Written resourcesย
Brainstorming booklets:

๐ Junior Brainstorming Booklet
Planning booklets:
๐ Planning Booklets
You have a full academic year to complete your project (you can complete them over a shorter time though). The deadline to submit your project by sending it to your mentor is 31 May.
Kick-off sessions are offered as part of Discovery Week in Term 1 and Term 3 to help you get started with inspiration and guidance.ย
Project check-in sessions - designed to move your project on once your main idea is clarified - are also available during Discovery Week in Term 2, 3 and 4.ย
Mentoring sessions are also an important space where you can get ongoing personalised support with your project. Discuss your decision to do a project with your mentor early on to ensure they can support you well in the process, and about what's a realistic timeframe as you'll need to work around other priorities during the year.ย
Kick-off session
Term 1 or 3

Get ongoing hands-on support from your mentor - whether you need help with ideation, resources, or to overcome any obstacles, your mentor will be there to help!
Presentation
Project Fair, Term 4
