In person classes are held in our office at Maros utca 12. We are open for students between 2pm and 7pm on weekdays and from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.
Within these times, you are welcome to come in to meet, study and socialize in our shared spaces!
Online classes are held on Google Classroom.
Please arrive on time to your classes and mentoring session (both in person and online). If you know you cannot come, email your teacher / mentor 24 hours in advance so we know you won’t be attending.
If you miss your classes three consecutive weeks, we will call / text you to find out if there's an issue. In case we cannot reach you, we'll contact your parents as well at this point.
Be Respectful: Treat everyone with kindness and avoid offensive language.
Stay On-Topic: Keep discussions relevant and focused.
Protect Privacy: Do not share personal information about others.
Mind Your Tone: Use clear, polite language and be mindful of your tone.
We use Google Classroom in two main ways: to share program-related information with students, and as a learning platform for select classes. Students are invited to one or two different Classroom spaces, depending on their year / specific program:
1. Your Year's Classroom - Join this as soon as you enter the program, and check announcements about program-related information regularly (we recommend to download the app). This will be your main yearly Classroom for the given academic year.
2. Your Seminar or Group Classroom - You'll be invited here as soon as you select your core class / at the beginning of the term. Used as a shared learning platform, your teacher will share resources, set tasks, and manage home assignments here. (Sophomore and Junior years and Study Abroad Program)
You can set Google Classroom to send you updates via email (adjust your settings to your preferences). Some important messages, i.e. reminders or last minute session changes etc. will also be sent out directly via email. Your Classroom(s) have a Calendar function where you'll be able to see your termly classes and all upcoming events.
Each of our students have their own dedicated student folder, to collect all Engame-related documents while you study with us. You'll receive a sharing link after you join - bookmark it so you can find it in the future! We'll upload your feedback from teachers, mentoring notes and other relevant documents here, for you to use efficiently, and to refer back to them in upcoming years as you progress through the program.
Note: your class resources will not be automatically shared here - save and upload anything you want to keep to your student folder!
We collect feedback from students about our program at the end of every term and use the data to improve our services.
At your last core session, you'll be asked to spend 10 minutes to fill in a survey, with questions covering all program elements you participated in the term. It is very important that you give us honest feedback, be sure we'll read and consider everything you say in there.
We will only pass on anonymised, summarised feedback to all mentors and teachers, and based on this, we make improvements to the program on a regular basis.
Making sure that Engame is a safe and supportive environment for all students is our top priority. Engame's comprehensive Child Protection Policy outlines the measures we have in place to protect you, and it also provides clear guidelines on how students, parents and staff can safely and effectively report to us any concerns.
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the policy here.
If you'd like to report any issues related to someone's well-being or safety, you can use this form.
