Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
We are searching for the optimal solution to satisfy the requirement
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Last quarter, we performed the risk reduction test. From this test, we found the peltier devices were temporarily unavailable because of the improper cooling and small current we provided. Thus, we turned to check if using a ice water was a solution for our design. This solution worked well but due to the large volume, we may hoped to try the peltier device first.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Decide which idea to be the final design (All)
Cad the design (Khang)
Sorting and buying the parts (Josh)
Research to build the temperature controller (Zinan)
Perform thermal analysis for the design (Jacob)

Research for other cooling methods ( eg. insulation cooling and vortex cooling). We did certain research on that.

Risks and Areas of Concern
For the Peltier device, we are afraid the improper cooling method toward the hot face and also such cooling may cost too much space and money on it. Also, the performance of Peltier cooling is unverifed.
