Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
PCB has been ordered
First prototype only needs a raspberry pi from prototyping lab to be ready for testing
Modifications have started to be made for the next iteration
These are modifications are based on things we saw as we put our first prototype together as well as an additional strip of lights that NEATLabs has requested
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Found a solution for the strip of lights that need to come out of the lid
Have a complete cage ready to test
NEATLabs should have a raspberry pi ready for us this week
Get a PCB design
PCB ordered
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Have our 2nd iteration built with the modifications
Have some testing done with our first prototype

Get a PCB for our water delivery system (4/21)
We have sent our PCB design to Mr. Gillett to look over
We ordered our PCB and should be able to test it out with our water delivery system
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Consider looking into how much time lab technicians take to fill up the home cage water bottles every day in order to compare how much time our system saves them (4/21)
Risks and Areas of Concern
We are still unsure that our water delivery system will work with the PCB
Although we are very close to having all of the electronics for a functioning behavioral system, we still aren't sure how much time we will have for testing and how much in depth testing we will be able to do with rats in the lab
We have ordered brackets to put on our 2nd prototype to help with the weight of the motors on the wall, but we aren't sure how well they will work
