Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 - Performed an impedance test on two tendons using a Wheatstone Bridge and a variable resistor.
Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 - Tested the strain gauge device. Calibrated the signal to be read by an arduino board.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Tested a Wheatstone bridge with known electrical components
Researched impedance properties.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Prototype a standardized method for measuring cross-sectional area.
Use that prototype to conduct a test with both the wheatstone bridge and impedance methods under known loads.

Sponsor is satisfied with the work we have done.
Would like us to conduct the test we are currently planning on doing.
Asked us to prototype a standardize method of measuring cross-sectional area.

Decide if impedance design is worth pursuing
Get lots of data.
We are still pursuing impedance, but we have been developing a back up plan in case that does not pane out.
We have been in the lab working with tendons getting impedance and strain data.
Risks and Areas of Concern
Do dissected tendons that have been frozen display the same physical properties as tendons in the body.
Schedule
Get the standardized method of measuring cross-sectional area developed
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
$0 of sponsor money spent
$7000 of money remaining.
