Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Second phase of testing will begin this Thursday to test impedance of tendons under known load.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Preliminary testing was done to reproduce change in impedance in tendons when under loading ( as described by Japanese paper). A write up of our experimental results was completed and provided for our sponsor
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
By end of this week we must decide whether to proceed with an impedance based design
If Yes - we want 2 possible designs
If No - we want 2 possible designs more geared to strain gauge technology
Already have a few ideas, that need more refinement
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Last meeting, sponsor asked us to test if impedance did indeed change when a load was placed on tendon. We did testing last Friday to see if it did and found that it did.

Talk to Steve Roberts
Steve suggested initially using a DMM in OHM Mode to read resistance of tendons and see if it changed upon loading.
Steve also gave us some more insight into impedance.
Steve provided us with a DC Power source, a protoboard, and resistors.
Risks and Areas of Concern
We are worried that an impedance based solution still runs into the problem of tendon thickness dependence as well as large variance over diferent types of tendons
Testing this thursday will answer these worries.
