Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Created a Preliminary Final Design Model in Pro/E - Design Review at Hunter Today (2/14)
Upone Procurement of some purchased Magnets we will test for optimization this week, and anaylze the necessary amount of coils
Hopefully Fabrication of the Device will begin shortly
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Completed First Draft of Report
Completed Preliminary Final Design of Wind Clik in Pro/E
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Complete the Testing and Design Alterations necessary for our Final Design - Anthony, Eric A., Eric K.
Upon Finishing the above, create a Prototype to be 3D-Printed by Hunter - Anthony, Eric A., Eric K.
Program the recently procured smaller microcontrollers and finalize the board layout - Isaacc
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting (2/7) and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Update Design in Pro/E
Completed a Design of the Device and Components in Pro/E
Instructor Comments from Proof of Concept Presentation (2/7) and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Possibly use Larger Shaft
Action = Looking into attempting this by attaching magnets to shaft
Avoid Multiple Press Fits
Action = May possibly avoid using bearings
Can use LockTite to lock shaft into Wind Vane
Purchased LockTite this weekend
Analyze Magnets/Mounting of Housing
Began looking into magnetism and Faraday's Law, but still need to analyze mounting of device
Peer Comments from Proof of Concept Presentation (2/7)
Use a Thicker Housing
Avoid Press Fitting solely for Water Proofing
Include an Electronics Block Diagram in the Presentation
Nice Slides/Videos
Bird Hazard
Risks and Areas of Concern
Nothing at Risk, but we will see upon begining fabrication how things come together
Resources or Information Required but not Available
None
