Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Final design of table was decided

  • Talked to machine shop and were able to get a linear slider from them.

Accomplishments from Previous Week

• • In possession of the linear slider (given to us by the machine shop)

  • Sent in our first order to purchase

  • Beginning the assembly process

  • Got permanent visitor passes to get on and off site alone

  • LabVIEW programming started

• • Most likely we will be given a desktop/laptop to use.

  • Given forms to bring our own tools on site to use to work with

  • Talked with the current painter and were given more specific painting information (i.e. distance to spray from, overlap in passes, pressures)

  • UCSD will be given an extra $500 in our purchasing so that we do not need to wait for them to purchase small cost items. 

  • Most likely only applying top coat (they will apply primer coat)

• • Advised to begin the assembly of table and we are now in possession of the slider we need

  • Asked if we will be provided a desktop or a laptop, waiting on a response from Goodrich

  • Concerned that we will not be given paint to use, Goodrich clarified that they will provide us with the paint specifications so we can order it ourselves because paint cannot be taken offsite
