Final Design

Sprayer System:

•A  coupon holder is mounted to a  1.8 m (4.5 ft) lead screw. The screw is driven by a stepper motor.

•The spray head which is mounted to a belt driven linear slider and held above the coupon holder. This slider moves in the y-direction and is held up by an aluminum frame. The aluminum frame is adjustable in the z-direction

•The whole system is controlled by Labview®

Thickness Verification:

•A travel gauge is suspended by a precision ground steel beam to measure the thickness of the coupon before and after paint has been applied.
