Ball Mount with top adjustment v.1
This concept utilizes both the ball join to level the surface as well as a screw attachment that
enables adjustment in the Z-Axis.

Ball Mount with top adjustment v.2
This is a modified version of version 1. This version 2 allows greater adjustment in Z-axis by
adjusting how the screw mechanism worked. Uses larger surface area allows this version to be
slimmer than the pervious version as well as giving more adjustability in the Z-direction.

Ball Mount : Under-Screw
This method utilizes the ball join with an adjustable z with the ball section. This design is has its
limitations in that adjustment must be done using a tool such as screw driver or allen wrench which is
inserted from the top mount. This allows the internal ball to screw onto or off of the base allowing the
entire mount to shift up or down according to needs.

Ball mount with slotted top for adjustment
This ball mount design allows the surface area to rotate in any direction allowing it to self level
its surface to the lower surface of the component. The slots in the top also allow adjustment in
the xy coordinate allowing the component bolt location to change since the top of this mount can
rotate, exposing a different part of the slot for attachment. The top design can also be designed
with a slot that starts near the center of the top to the edge of the top also allowing adjustment in xy.
This design only allows adjustment in xy and rotation and can be welded direction onto the surface
of the drip pan without the need to protrude through the drip pan. (Less fabrication time)
Revisions in the future (screw design attachment on base) will allow adjustment in the z axis as well.
Prototyping of this design will be difficult for it requires casting of the metal to make the ball mount.

XY Plate Assembly
Plate is adjustable in the x and y axis. Once the x and y axis have been located, the Plate
Assembly is bolted into the Coned Bosses to secure the component. Adjustment in the z-
axis is achieved by the threaded design in the Coned Boss. The Coned Bosses are welded
into the plate assembly.
