Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Laser positioning (manufacturing process improvement) has been eliminated. Process improvement team is assuming that responsiblity. Design will be proposed to them

  • Current designs are considered "alternatives" to bosses

  • Fabrication of alternate bosses will begin Wednesday 4/25

• • Briefed Solar on current status of project

  • Presented concepts/presentation to Solar

  • Gathered more information on the fluid issue

  • Bosses have been sent from Texas; need to be picked up at Solar

• • Capping mechanism in a convex shape to prevent the trapping of fluids

  • Attaching a type of sleeve to mounting system to prevent liquid pooling

• • How much load per boss? We are expecting 11,000 lbs on 6-8 bosses

  • Scissor Jack mount looks incompatible because of required clearance from drip pan to module
