First assessing how clear they are on their desired career paths
Identifying opportunities to develop the necessary skills and gather information that will help them map their direction more intentionally
Deliberately supporting interns in these areas through program activities and goal-setting support
Bringing it all together in Reintegration Training to update resumes, networks, and create engagement with relevant professionals

The Application Process

Applications for Cohort 3 onwards will remain open and applications for each group will be shortlisted roughly 1 month before travel. You can apply here.

The Application Form remains open and submissions will be assessed after the deadline shown for each cohort. Once submitted, you will only receive confirmation that your response has been recorded.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an automated confirmation that it has been recorded.
Please allow at least 2 weeks from the deadline indicated as we sift through applications, after which you will be notified of the outcome of your application.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview with our recruitment panel.
Successful applicants will receive an offer and contract to sign. ONLY once you have signed the contract, can we begin onboarding you with vaccination, visa, and flight costs.
Applicants will participate in 5 days of Pre-Departure Training at the Empowerment Squared Offices in Hamilton (Ontario) before traveling to their destinations.

Worried about costs?

The core program components are funded. The following costs will either be paid for on your behalf or, if you are required to make payment, you will be reimbursed:

- Flight and travel costs
- Accommodation costs in each country
- Costs of visa applications and vaccinations

For this reason, you must be certain of your commitment before returning your contract or incurring any costs.
