INTELLECTUAL GIANT

Prize for All-Round Participation

Year started at Emanuel: 2011 ATAR: 97.30

All schools offer academic education, but it seems very few offer value-education. I’m honoured to have attended Emanuel School, where values of integrity, critical thinking and Jewish identity are implicit in their academic approach.

Josh shares that Emanuel School is a place that has set the foundations for the rest of his life by cultivating his social skills, intellect, integrity and values. He is a witty and engaging public speaker, who partakes in many other school activities such as Music and Debating. He played the lead role in the school productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Legally Blonde as well as playing in the band for Into the Woods. Josh has been the Swimming Age Champion throughout High School.

As Communications Madrich, he enriched the students’ school life in many tangible ways. His depth and level of thinking is astounding and he organised the Night of Dangerous Debate with great skill and enthusiasm. Josh’s believes that the leadership and communication skills that he has developed will enable him to work with many different types of people at university and beyond. Interestingly, Josh is a talented magician and dazzles his peers with mind-bending card tricks.

His friends describe him as a well-rounded, academically disciplined student who strives to take responsibility for his own actions and is 100% committed to achieving excellence.
