Prizes for Outstanding Service to the Jewish Life of the School and Mensch of the Year

Year started at Emanuel: 2006 ATAR: 98.45

Emanuel School has done so much for me since I began here in pre-school. Being able to enrich my fellow students’ lives on a daily basis, by passing on my love for Jewish culture and music, has been an honour.

Gabriel is a passionate musician and an empathic, inspirational young man. Gabriel has held many leadership positions over the years, most recently as Jewish Life and Music Madrich, positions that he is most proud of. He has an outstanding work ethic and feels that Emanuel School has enabled him to grow and thrive as an individual and world citizen. Gabriel believes that the focus at school was on both academics and the world around him, providing him with freedom of thought. He has been on the Principal’s List for Achievement and Effort every semester since Year 7.

Over the years, Gabriel has come to appreciate the new and diverse schools of thought his teachers have shared. He is a proactive and creative leader and hopes to become part of the next generation of leaders in the Jewish community.

Gabriel’s peers are particularly fond of him, commenting on his warmth, thoughtfulness and congeniality.
