Storyboard
The story behind this narrative is an unfortunate event for a popsicle. The animation begins with an ice cream truck driving across the scene. We then zoom in on the freezer inside, which we can see has been left open. We then take a look at the happy popsicle inside. We pan to the beating sun, then back to the popsicle. The popsicle realizes what is about to happen. We then see the popsicle melt. :( The scene ends by panning over to a popsicle in the corner as it is shaking in fear.
12 Principles of Animation
Squash and Stretch - When the second popsicle jumps in fear, it uses the squash and stretch technique.
Anticipation - We anticipate the popsicle melting when the one little melty teardrop is on the popsicle.
Staging - I placed the popsicle in the middle of the screen and on an angle so it would be the best composition for the length and width of the dimensions of the screen. Since the popsicle is the main character, it needed to be the focus of the scene.
Appeal - What's more appealing than a cute little popsicle? I was doodling one day and came up with this! Too bad it has such a sad ending :(
Exaggeration - This animation is filled with exaggeration! Popsicles obviously do not have faced (or ones that move at least!) When the popsicles here get scared, their faces get comically large.
Solid drawing - It was important to have the appropriate dimensions and angles for a 3-dimensional space here or else the freezer area would not look correct.
