Once a student has completed onboarded and their first classes, they enter the Progression state. This encompasses their entry into a program of study up until 75% completion of their credential. At this stage, advising can help a student identify their interests and select a program of study - students are much more likely to complete a credential when they select a program of study within their first year. This is also where wraparound student support services become crucial, helping a student access the resources they need, balance coursework with other aspects of their lives, and choose the right courses and courseloads to ensure success and progression.
Sessions addressing this stage will focus on how functional tech can be leveraged in support of our retention goals. You will learn about ways to effectively use various tech tools to support current students and maximize the impact of your advising and coaching practice.
