Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity the student should be able to

(CLO). Interpret and utilize mathematical formulas while solving problems
(MLO1-1) Utilize algebraic methods, scientific notation, rounding numbers, and significant figure rules in calculations
- - identify the number of significant figures in a number
  - Round a calculated value to the proper number of significant figures based on the rules of addition/subtraction or multiplication/division
  - Apply significant figure rules in calculations.
  - write a numerical value in scientific notation from expanded form or expanded form from scientific notation
