We are living through a situation that is making many of us feel more alone and isolated than ever. While social distancing and staying apart from friends and loved ones is the right thing to do, it may be having a negative effect on our psyche and mental health. Often times we conflate the feeling of isolation and loneliness with perceived evidence about ourselves or our situations that might not always be accurate. If you are feeling lonely or isolated today, take a look at the article below that will help to pull apart some of those inaccuracies.

It is so important to maintain a normal sleep schedule right now! Not getting regular sleep will likely lead to an increase in some unfortunate mental health symptoms and given how fragile we all might be at this point in time, it's imperative that we all try to control whatever semblance of normalcy we can. Don't know how? Then fear not, there's a nice guide to healthy sleep from Harvard Med School below:

Mindfulness exercises have been shown to improve symptoms of anxiety and depression and can certainly be a useful tool in the coming weeks. Below is a good resource for a handful of mindfulness activities you can try in the comfort of your own home and hopefully you find some things that work for you!

Hello MHS community! Student Council would like to tell you about a new endeavor that we’re currently working on. Taking inspiration from John Krasinski’s “Some Good News” YouTube channel, we decided to spread some good news as well. You may remember our instagram account @medfield_fans... In light of recent events we think that it is desperately in need of a makeover. So that’s what we set out to do. We’re going to spread positivity throughout Medfield with local stories of our town's good news. Do you have any stories that you think are worthy of telling the rest of the town? Please let us know by direct messaging our instagram account or emailing @medfieldstuco@gmail.com.
Check out these Google Arts & Culture tours of museums like the Van Gogh Museum, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, and the Louvre, finally representing a chance to see the Mona Lisa up close and personal without getting bumped around by throngs of fellow tourists. Each tour is a little different -- try using Google Street View to explore a luxuriously empty Guggenheim, or scroll your way through a digital timeline of events at the British Museum.
The upper reaches of Manitoba are a place where social isolation is kind of just the norm, but there's a big tradeoff: It's a prime viewing spot for the Northern Lights. And thanks to the folks at Polar Bears International and Explore.org, you can stream the spectacular natural fireworks show without trudging through the snow. In addition to blissing out to the ions dancing around your screen, you can finally learn exactly how they work, too.
Mrs. Worthley made this last week! It's so good. Try it!
