GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS
Authors from all academic backgrounds and affiliations are encouraged to submit their work. Manuscripts must present original research that has not been previously published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Saliksik accepts manuscripts written either in English or Filipino. Submissions that are written in Filipino must include an English translation of the abstract.
The total word count of the manuscript must not exceed 10,000 words, including an abstract of 200-250 words with a maximum of five keywords. References, tables, and figures are excluded from the word count. Additionally, the submission must adhere to the following technical specifications:
Font: Times New Roman, 12pt
Line Spacing: 1.5
Margins: 1” on all sides
File format: Word (either .docx or .doc)
Submissions should already contain the following parts:
Title
Abstract
Introduction
Theoretical/Conceptual Framework (if applicable)
Statement of the Problem
Methodology
Results and Discussion
Conclusion and Recommendations
References, and Appendices (if applicable).
For citation and referencing style, Saliksik adheres to format and style of writing provided by the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Publication Manual, 7th Edition. Researchers may consult the APA 7th Edition Manual for formatting and clarifications.
Manuscripts must be submitted via the designated Google Form. Upon submission, authors will receive an acknowledgment email from the official Saliksik Journal email. Only submissions via the designated Google Form will be acknowledged by the Saliksik Editorial Board.
Note: Saliksik employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Submitted manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial board for their technical merit and the submission’s alignment with the journal’s scope and sent for evaluation by two (2) independent experts in the relevant field/s. Once reviewed, authors will be notified of the review decisions via email, including comments and suggestions from the reviewers. Manuscript review usually takes around 1-3 months.
