Saliksik is the official multidisciplinary research journal of La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP), dedicated to the publication of high-quality, original research across a broad spectrum of academic fields. It serves as a dynamic platform for scholars, educators, and practitioners to share innovative ideas, foster intellectual dialogue, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
As a multidisciplinary journal, Saliksik welcomes submissions from all disciplines represented within the university and beyond, including but not limited to the sciences, humanities, education, health, business, and social sciences. The journal emphasizes research that is relevant, methodologically sound, and original, with the potential to impact both academic and practical domains.
Saliksik is published annually in a hybrid format—available as an open-access online journal and in limited print editions. It employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the integrity and scholarly merit of each article. The journal is managed by a dedicated editorial and advisory board composed of experts from LCUP and partner institutions.
Through Saliksik, LCUP aims to strengthen its research culture, enhance institutional visibility, and contribute meaningfully to national and global academic conversations.
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) issues an official Call for Papers, clearly indicating the journal scope, submission guidelines, ethical standards, timelines, and review process.
Authors submit their manuscripts through the official submission channel within the prescribed deadline. Submissions must comply with the journal’s formatting, ethical, and authorship requirements.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening conducted jointly by the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) and the Associate Editor (AE).
This screening assesses:
Relevance to the journal’s scope
Compliance with submission guidelines
Originality and ethical integrity
Baseline scholarly quality
Manuscripts that do not meet minimum standards are desk-rejected, with a brief explanation sent to the corresponding author.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned by the Associate Editor to qualified Peer Reviewers.
A double-blind peer review process is strictly observed.
Peer Reviewers conduct an in-depth evaluation and provide comments, feedback, and required corrections within the specified review period.
The Associate Editor closely monitors review progress and conducts regular follow-ups to ensure timely completion.
Upon receipt of the completed reviews, the Managing Editor consolidates the reviewers’ comments, recommendations, and required revisions.
The Managing Editor returns the consolidated review results to the corresponding author, together with clear revision instructions and a resubmission deadline.
The Managing Editor receives the revised manuscript and conducts a preliminary technical check to confirm completeness of the response, including a revision matrix or response-to-reviewers document.
The revised manuscript is forwarded to the Associate Editor for verification. The Associate Editor evaluates whether all reviewer comments, feedback, and required corrections have been sufficiently addressed.
If revisions are satisfactory, the manuscript is recommended for acceptance.
If revisions are incomplete or inadequate, the Managing Editor sends a follow-up email to the corresponding author detailing the deficiencies and required actions.
Accepted manuscripts are endorsed by the Editor-in-Chief and forwarded to the Publications Officer for copyediting, layout, and journal formatting.
Final proofs are sent to authors for approval. Once approved, the manuscript is scheduled for publication in the journal.

Allegations of ethical misconduct are treated seriously and investigated thoroughly, and confirmed violations may result in rejection, retraction, correction, or other appropriate actions to safeguard the integrity of the scholarly record.
