ABOUT OUR BANDS and Ensembles
The SYMPHONIC WIND ENSEMBLE is Louisiana Tech University's auditioned wind band and performs concerts in the winter and spring quarters. Membership in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble is open to all Louisiana Tech University students, regardless of major, by audition.
Members of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble are eligible to receive a financial service award of $200 per quarter for their participation in the ensemble throughout the winter and spring quarters.

CONCERT BAND
The CONCERT BAND is a non-auditioned wind band for any student on the campus of Louisiana Tech. The ensemble will rehearse and perform during the Winter and Spring quarters.
Members of the Concert Band are eligible to receive a financial service award of $100 per quarter for their participation in the ensemble throughout the winter and spring quarters.

FALL
WIND ENSEMBLE
The FALL WIND ENSEMBLE is a non-auditioned wind band for any student on the campus of Louisiana Tech. Members will be asked to play a hearing for the conductor for ensemble placement. The ensemble will rehearse and perform during the Fall quarter.
Members of the Fall Wind Ensemble are eligible to receive a financial service award of $100 per quarter for their participation in the ensemble throughout the winter and spring quarters.

HOOP TROOP is Louisiana Tech University's basketball pep band. This ensemble performs at most Bulldog and Lady Techster home games and travels to select away games and tournaments (usually the C-USA championships). Membership in Hoop Troop is open to all Louisiana Tech University students by audition; participation in the Band of Pride in the previous fall quarter is generally expected.
Members of Hoop Troop are eligible to receive a financial service award for their participation in the ensemble throughout the late fall and winter quarters.

JAZZ ENSEMBLES
THE JAZZ ENSEMBLES are directed by Dr. Trevor Davis. Auditions for both Jazz Ensembles occur the day before classes begin. Contact Dr. Davis for more information at TDavis@latech.edu.
