Define the program's goals and objectives: Determine the purpose of the mentorship program, including the specific outcomes you want to achieve and the target audience for the program.
Choose a mentorship model: Consider the different types of mentorship models, such as traditional one-on-one mentorship, group mentorship, or reverse mentorship, and choose the model that best fits your goals and objectives. THIS WILL REQUIRE RESEARCH AND EVALUATION OF OPTIONS. This should be included in your final paper along with your reasoning for selecting a particular model.
Recruit mentors and mentees: You will have to define how potential mentors and mentees will be identified. You will also have to develop criteria for finding and selecting participants. Consider factors such as skills, experience, and compatibility. Will you implement some type of matching system? If so, how/which one?
Develop program guidelines: Create clear and concise guidelines for the mentorship program, including expectations for both mentors and mentees, the length of the program, and the frequency and format of meetings. This will be documented in your final paper.
Plan and facilitate training: Provide training for mentors and mentees, including sessions on effective communication, setting goals, and providing feedback. NOTE: While we won't get to the execution phase, you will be required to develop appropriate training materials for mentors and mentees. This will need to be included with your final project paper.
Monitor and evaluate the program: You must develop methods for monitoring and evaluating the program and include those in your final paper.
Celebrate and recognize successes: You must develop a formal system/methodology for recognizing and celebrating successes. This also must be outlined in your final paper.
