Back-to-School Letter

Dear Elgin Middle School Band Students and Families,

Welcome to another exciting year with the Elgin Middle School Wildcat Band! We are thrilled to begin the 2026–2027 school year and look forward to making music together while continuing the tradition of excellence that our band program is known for.

To our returning 8th-grade band members, we are excited to have you back as leaders of our program. Throughout the year, you will have numerous opportunities to showcase your talents through concerts, pep rallies, and other performances. Your experience and dedication will play an important role in helping our band continue its tradition of success and achievement.

To our incoming 7th-grade band members from Elgin Intermediate School, welcome to middle school band! We are excited to continue building on the musical foundation you developed last year. We will begin the school year by reviewing and strengthening fundamental skills while introducing new concepts that will help you grow as musicians. You will also have several opportunities to perform and share your musical accomplishments throughout the year.

The Elgin Middle School Band program is committed to helping every student develop musicianship, teamwork, responsibility, and pride. We are looking forward to a year filled with growth, memorable performances, and great experiences for all of our students.
