Alain works within the Elders Action Network Visionary Planning Process, the Regenerative Elder Process, as well as the development of an Oregon Chapter.
Visioning Planning Process Reflections
Shirley is currently having a good time being part of the Elders Action Network mission and growth. She is on the Leadership Council, the Elders for Regenerative Living team, and an integral part of ECA NorCal. In her local Grass Valley Sierra Foothills community in California, she heads WasteNOT, a group that interfaces with the Nevada County Solid Waste commission and Waste Management to represent the community, giving greater clarification on how to Recycle Right. Her career was as a retail executive.
Shirley reviewed the issues of Single-Use Plastics, explained the Circular Economy and ended with what WE can do.
Hobie Stocking is a long-term environmentalist who currently divides his time between Georgia (where his children live) and Minnesota. He is the founder of SKYWATEREARTH which helps climate, environmental and clean energy organizations develop clear effective messaging and he gives talks on climate and communications around the country. Their tag line is "We are all connected. Savor the Earth!" He also is a member of MN350, Climate Reality, Sierra Club and more.
Minneapolis Climate Action holds a unique place in the local environmental landscape, focusing on action, policy and culture shift in Minneapolis, while partnering and collaborating with regional, culturally specific, and national organizations. Kyle spoke on their current work developing a model for neighborhood solar garden development and the climate ambassador project.
Chris introduced us to the 100% Campaign to establish an equitable clean energy economy. He also updated us on the climate related outcomes of the 2021 Minnesota legislative session.
She spoke about the work of Fresh Energy with a focus on clean energy solutions and shared her experiences at 6 global climate summits.
