Promote curiosity and imagination
Materials Needed:
6 Glass jars or cups
Paper Towels
Food Coloring (red, yellow and blue)
Fill a tub with water.
Gather objects from around the house or yard.
Predict what objects will float/sink.

Let them explore their surroundings.
Ask questions and encourage more exploration. "What are the ants doing?" "What is happening to all of the trees?"
Allow them to collect what peaks their interest (flower buds, seeds, leaves, rocks, etc.) Use that for a time to practice counting.
Use a magnifying glass or binoculars to explore further and investigate.
