Murder of the Wise

By: Amanda Hannon

Glass shattered across the floor,

Red smeared along the walls,

Why did it have to end?

No broken windows,

No picked lock,

Why was the weapon left.

Gun on floor,

No bullets left, only one shot taken.

She looked so beautiful before the wound.

The cops came with a clean up crew,

Neighbors crowded around to witness the crime,

A crime no one can be punished for.

As the bodies taken away,

The tears are still there,

And her beautiful mind is no longer one.

I Can’t

By: Amanda Hannon

I can breathe

I can walk

I can talk

I can scream

I can laugh

I can drink

I can eat

I can dance

I can sing

I can fly

I can believe

I can imagine

I can create

I can draw

I can cry

I can’t die

I can’t live
