When the Sun Rises

Carry the wind across the ocean

Ordering the waves to hum along

Their rhythm building up

Into symphonies

Of great length

All crashing into the chorus

Lean the moon over

To illuminate the show

For the chirping crickets

Only watch with light

The depths of green blades

Offering safety

While the sweet dewdrops

Wish to be the water

Inspired by their songs yet

Only alive until the early morning

Now you’ve conducted the dark earth

But when the sun rises

You must bow

For appreciation gives strength

To the continuity of musicals

During the night
