The Peer to Peer Prevention Education Program focuses on developing public speaking, collaboration, and advocacy skills for high school students. It is an integral part of our Tobacco Use Prevention Education grant in EGUSD.
In this program, high schoolers learn about the trends and risks of substance use, the importance of mental wellness, and spread this message to their communities.
Peer advocates are trained in substance use prevention and present this information to 6th grade students to get them prepared for middle school and ready to make healthy choices. Peer to Peer also works on a variety of awareness and prevention initiatives on their respective campuses.
The Peer to Peer program has five participating schools:
Calvine High School
Florin High School
Monterey Trail High School
Rio Cazadero High school
Valley High School
William Daylor High School
