There are many things that may resolve the incorrect passcode error. Below are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
Verify with the teacher that you have the correct Meeting ID and Passcode.
Restart the Chromebook.
Go to zoom.us
Click the Google logo located on the lower half of the page
Select student account
Click create account if the option appears
Select Join Meeting
Enter the meeting ID and passcode to join the class
Sometimes a series of resets will resolve this issue.
Perform up to 4 hard resets
Try to clear cache and history
Go to Zoom.us
Select Join Meeting at the top of your screen
Enter the meeting ID and passcode to join the meeting
If available, try to join the meeting from a different device.
Sometimes just waiting then trying again in 20-30 minutes will allow you to join the meeting.
This error indicates that EGUSD Authentication is enabled for the meeting. The student must authenticate via Google to gain access. You can visit Zoom.us/signin then select Sign in with Google (you may need to scroll down to see this option). Once signed in, try joining the meeting again. Please follow the guide Resolving Student Authentication issues on Zoom for more details.
This error indicates that the meeting is not currently running. If this is during your scheduled class time, please contact your teacher for the correct Meeting ID. If you have verified the meeting ID is correct go to Zoom.us. Select Join a Meeting at the top of the screen. Type the meeting ID and passcode when prompted. If you continue to have the issue, please clear cache and history and then try joining the meeting again.
This issue is often network related. Possible troubleshooting steps include:
Move the Chromebook or other device closer to your home WiFi router or hotspot.
Leave the meeting and then join it again.
Try to remove or get away from sources of network interference. Things that can cause network interference include:
Other electronic devices
Appliances such as microwaves
Thick buidling materials between you and the router (pipes, metal)
Mirrors
This issue is often resolved by adjusting the microphone gain setting. Please refer to the guide Chromebook Audio Issues for a possible resolution.
