The 2026-27 FAFSA/CADAA application filing window will open October 1st through March 2nd, priority deadline. 

• If you're completing the FAFSA/CADAA with parent at home, checkout the YouTube Video or Instructions attachment below on how to launch the application from your Californiacolleges.edu account. If you launch FAFSA from your account, you will not need to send screenshot of your FAFSA Submission Confirmation. 

• If you/parent need help completing the FAFSA/CADAA, attend an EGUSD Cash for College Workshop, see flyer below! Make sure to bring necessary documents to the workshop to complete your application.

• Once your FAFSA is submitted, take a screenshot or print Confirmation page or FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) and send to Ms. Valenzuela or your ISP Teacher so we can confirm FAFSA completion per AB 469 (if you didn't launch from your Californiacolleges.edu account).  If students' post-secondary plans are not associated with FAFSA,  their parent or adult student can schedule appointment with Ms. Valenzuela to discuss plans and complete Opt-Out form per AB 469.

•  Continue to check your email for FAFSA notifications, FSS, and Cal Grant info. Two weeks after submitting your FAFSA/CADAA, you can create your Webgrant Account on CSAC website, linked below, to view your grants/funding information including Cal Grant awards, if eligible. 

• Cal Grant FYI: If you were enrolled at a EGUSD high school on October 1st, the district automatically uploads your GPA to CSAC to connect to your FAFSA, for eligibility. If you were not enrolled in EGUSD on October 1st, and your GPA is 2.0 or higher then we should complete a GPA Verification Form, please contact Mrs. Valenzuela.
