We hope you all had a lovely Easter Break - From all of the Year 1 teachers
Imperative Verbs!
This week in year one we have been very BOSSY! We have been learning all about imperative verbs and how they are used when giving a command. We have also have been able to identify the bossy verbs in a set of instructions to make our own paper aeroplanes. In addition, we have also been learning our timestables this includes our 2's, 5's and 10's and we created some fantastic kites to help us practice at home.Â
We're Going on a Lion Hunt
We also adapted a well known story from 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' to 'We're Going on a Lion Hunt'. As a class we created some fantastic actions to retell the story, used incredible facial expressions and changed our voices just like Micheal Ronsen. Enjoy our performances!
Hanningfield School Trip
We have had a fantastic day at Hanningfield reservoir hunting for minibeasts, dipping in the pond and becoming experts at identifying different trees! The children were so enthusiastic, learnt lots and were a credit to the school. Enjoy looking through the pictures of what we got up to.Â
