PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Mr Josh Maroney, Mrs Kristy Phang & Mrs Amanda Gilmore

Our students are involved in weekly Physical Education sessions. Integral to our Physical Education program at Templeton is the acquisition of movement skills, concepts and strategies to enable students to confidently, competently and creatively participate in a range of physical activities. As a foundation for lifelong physical activity participation and enhanced performance, students develop proficiency in movement skills and physical activities and movement concepts.

At Templeton we have a range of sporting opportunities for our students to participate in throughout the school year. School based events such as: swimming lessons, cross country running and athletics. Templeton also competes in Inter-School competitions in sports such as: tennis, basketball, cricket, AFL, soccer, volleyball, tee ball, softball, lawn bowls and netball.

We also offer a Physical Education Extension Program (PEEP) for Year 5&6 students who display an interest and talent in Physical Education and Sport. This extension program gives those students an opportunity to extend their skills and knowledge in various off-site activities.

I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for Physical Education and Sport with you all.

Kind regards

Josh Maroney
