Koorie Engagement Coordinator
I am a proud Meriam Torres Strait Islander with strong connections to Moa Island. Born and raised in Ballarat, I have been an educator for 27 years in primary and middle years . I am the Central Highlands Area (CHA) Koorie Education Coordinator (KEC).
I believe education can be delivered in culturally responsive ways through strong school leadership and educators who support the engagement of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families as they journey with their children through each stage of learning. I am committed to working with all people in education to build equitable and authentic pathways so children can be learners for life, with certainty in their identity and in who they are.
Koorie Engagement Support Officer- City Network
I am a proud Wotjobaluk woman, passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities. With 27 years of professional experience working in the Central Highlands Region, and the local Aboriginal community, I have worked in both public and private educational services and bring personal educational experience and motherhood to this role.
I respect the Wada Wurrung people of Ballarat and the traditional lands as I was born here, and have lived here, growing up in the Aboriginal community. When Koorie engagement and Culture is embedded, practiced and woven through all educational areas, no matter what stage of life, I believe knowledge, understanding and relationships provide the core components required to achieve successful educational, health and wellbeing outcomes for ALL children and young people.

I am a proud Wotjobaluk Woman, and my family originates from around the Wimmera River up in Dimboola. I was born and have grown up on Wadawurung Country here in Ballarat.
I have a passionate drive to effect positive change within the education space, particularly in creating safe and culturally responsive environments for Koorie students to not only survive but thrive. I aim to empower young people to embrace their cultural heritage with unwavering pride and unapologetic authenticity.
I know the transformative power of a nurturing and accepting community, and how that can positively affect the academic success and emotional well-being of all Koorie students. I look forward to supporting families, students, schools and ECCs to make this happen.

I am a Pitjantjatjara and Adnyamathanha woman from Port Augusta, South Australia and now I have been living in Victoria on Wadawurrung country. I have always enjoyed working in the education space and in supporting Aboriginal students in various roles from teaching, education support, and to working with highly disengaged students, the roles have often been challenging and rewarding.
I am passionate about supporting young Koorie children to be successful and to have positive educational experience. For Koorie learners to be successful in their education journey will open their world to opportunities and possibilities as they navigate their way through schooling, further education and training and employment.

Hey there!
I’m a proud Non-Binary, Queer, Neurospicy, Wutyubaluk person who shows up for the real, the raw, and the radically inclusive. I bring:
• a deep passion for creating spaces where mob, misfits, and magic-makers feel safe, seen, and celebrated in education,
• a strong drive to empower individuals in finding meaningful pathways through their learning journeys,
• and a commitment to fostering culturally responsive environments in schools and early learning settings.
I believe in loud laughter, cultural pride, and never underestimating the power of glitter and grassroots action.
My work is grounded in a genuine commitment to engaging young people, with a particular passion for advocating for First Nations youth from diverse backgrounds—including those who are neurodivergent and part of the LGBTIQA+ community .
