CO-PLANNING AND CO-TEACHING
SWVR RRT PRACTICE NOTE 03
OVERVIEW
Co-Planning and Co-teaching can be a way of developing teaching capability in classroom instruction and improving student outcomes. Teachers who are working collaboratively in the classroom can use a co-teaching cycle to focus their work through four steps. It encourages collective responsibility for all students. This might include teachers working with a tutor or learning specialist. The principles of co-teaching can also be used for classrooms with ES staff who are supporting students.
