1)     As a group continue working on Task 12 from the IBL booklet. You need to come up with pitch strategies that you will use to encourage parents to come to your store on the Showcase of Learning night.

2)     Try to make each of your examples different so you have lots of things to say. Practice within your group to make sure it sounds persuasive and engaging and that you are confident with your wording.

Lesson Details

1)     During this lesson students will be completing a role-playing activity to test out their pitch strategies.

2)     3 of the groups will be starting as the stores and the remaining 3 groups will be the customers.

3)     The stores will trial out their pitch strategies and get feedback from the customers about what strategies encouraged them to come to the store and what could use some improvements.

4)     After 15/20 minutes - groups will swap so the customers will become the stores and the stores will become the customers. We will then repeat this activity.

Lesson Details

1)     This is your final lesson to work on your IBL project

2)     You will be completing Task 13 from the IBL Booklet: refining your pitch strategies based on the role play activity.

3)     As a group discuss what you learnt from the role play activity and what you would now do differently. This could be based on strategies you had that you feel didn’t run as smoothly as you had anticipated or based on strategies you observed from other groups during your time as a customer.
