1) Continue working on Task 6 from the IBL Smoothie Bar Booklet: your Scale Drawings.
2) You are required to make 2 scale drawings for this project
a) One as a birds eye view of the store (looking from above)
b) One from the front of the store (looking at where people would be paying and your window display)

1) As a class you will watch the Day 3 briefing video.
2) Students will now be completing Task 7: working out the wages for their business.
3) Students can follow the link in the IBL booklet and determine the hourly rate for their employees. Students then need to work out how many hours per week their employees are working and then how much they are paying each employee per week.
4) Finally students need to work out the total cost their business will be spending on wages each week.

1) Students will continue completing Task 8. Working out the cost to make their smoothie
2) Start by determining what is your main signature item you are selling, as you will only be doing this process for one item. You need to fill in exactly what ingredients you will be using and how much of each ingredient you used.
3) Once you have your ingredients and how much of each you must go to either Coles or Woolworths website and get the cost for each item. You need to take a screen shot of each of these items showing both the item and the costs and insert them into page 16 of your IBL booklet.
4) You then need to complete the table on page 15, please show your working out in the calculation column.
5) Finally calculate the overall cost to make your smoothie.

1) Groups will be working through Task 9: working out the selling cost of their smoothie and therefore determining the percentage profit each smoothie makes.
2) Groups will then be working out the estimated sales of smoothies per week based on the conditions of Chadrock shopping centre.
3) Groups will need to determine their predicted weekly profit from selling smoothies.

1) As a class you will watch the Day 4 briefing video.
2) Groups will now be working on Task 10: making a nutritional label that will be displayed on the Showcase of Learning Night.
3) Your label will include: Energy (kj), Protein (g), Total Fats (g) and Sugars (g).
4) You can gather the information from the website linked in your IBL booklet. The website allows you to adjust the quantity of each food that you have, so make sure you take this into account when making your label.
5) Your label should look similar to that displayed on foods in Australia, an example has been supplied in your IBL booklet.
6) If time allows you could also add Carbohydrates (g), Saturated fats (g), Sodium (mg) and Calcium (mg).
