Instrument Hire Information and Application Form 2024

Students who are having instrumental lessons and/or are participating in a SGHS ensemble may apply for instument hire.  

The fee for hiring an instrument for 2024 is $240 ($60 per term). 

This fee covers costs fair wear and tear. The cost of repairing any damage through carelessness or negligence is the responsibility of the hirer. If this is the case, the hirer should contact SGHS Music Staff for repair options.

Students who require new strings, reeds or additional parts/cleaning accessories throughout the year may buy these items directly from the Music staff. 

If you wish to HIRE/REHIRE an instrument for 2024,  complete the Instrument Hire Agreement Form (below).

This form and payment must be completed prior to the student taking an instrument off the school site.

When returning instruments, students must have the instrument checked and signed back in by a faculty member or the hire fee will continue to be charged. 

Instruments available for hire: 

NOTE: The instruments listed below in red may have their hire fee waived in the case of a successful Foundation Scholarship application.
