Drama Ensemble

Eligibility and selection

The Pulse Alive team are seeking interested students from Years 7 to 12 in 2024 from NSW public schools to form the Drama Ensemble for Pulse Alive 2024.

The Drama Ensemble will work with a professional director to devise a piece for the arena, set to one of the pieces of music in the show.

Students applying to be part of the Drama Ensemble should have some experience performing in drama projects with ensembles and working collaboratively with other students, both from within their school and from other schools.

Please note, this category is only open to individual performers. Students selected as members of the Drama Ensemble will not be able to participate with their school group in an additional category.

Successful students will require the endorsement of their school principal to participate. Students are encouraged to discuss their nomination with a teacher at their school prior to submission.

Students participating in this category will be supervised by members of the Pulse Alive team. Schools will not be expected to provide a teacher for duty of care of these students.

How to apply

Applications for the Pulse Alive 2024 Drama Ensemble have now closed.

On your nomination form you will need to list your experience, as well as indicate the name of the drama teacher/coordinator at your school. This teacher will be contacted in early Term 4 to endorse your application and provide any comments on your suitability for this ensemble.

We encourage you to spend some time on your written application to ensure that it best represents your abilities, interest and aptitude.

Final selections will be made to ensure the most appropriate students are part of the ensembe, and the widest range of schools, regions and ages possible is represented.
