Course Description

Photographic and Digital Media provides opportunities for students to enjoy making and studying a range of photographic and digital media works. They do this in still, interactive and moving forms. They learn to represent their ideas and interests with reference to contemporary trends and how photographers, videographers, film-makers, computer or digital and performance artists make photographic and digital media works.

Students are required to produce a Photographic and Digital Media portfolio and keep a Photographic and Digital Media journal.

Still

Any of the following:

· photographic media including, camera-based works, digital media in printed form

· manipulated images including collage, montage and image transfers

· computer-generated images

· other still photographic and digital forms may also be included


Interactive

Any of the following:

· computer-generated images

· internet art

· other interactive photographic and digital forms may also be included


Moving

Any of the following:

· video

· film

· animation

· other moving photographic and digital forms may also be included
