Overview
By exploring this resource, students will:
develop knowledge and understanding of the context of the work 'Sarabande'
develop knowledge, understanding and skill in dance analysis, applied to the work 'Sarabande'
develop knowledge, understanding and skill in dance analysis in practice, in reference to the work 'Sarabande'.
This unit is not a standalone tool. Other classroom strategies should be explored to support the teaching and learning of this topic.
Teachers should provide meaningful feedback and suggestions to continue to enhance and build on students knowledge of this topic.
Using this resource
This resource can be used to support the teaching and learning of dance appreciation throughout preliminary dance.
The resource can be used with Year 11 dance cohorts or adapted for individual student needs.
Teachers can set standalone activities from the resource, or work through the entire series of 'Sarabande' activities.
As students progress through the online content in this module, teachers can interact with students to provide feedback face-to-face or use a shared online platform such as Google Classroom.
Teachers can set specific timelines for students and can add resources and/or feedback tasks to differentiate learning.
This resource can be used to address the outcomes below.
