From Friday Wk 1, Term 2 parents in Year 7 will receive daily SMS notifications of their child's whole day absence. If you receive an SMS this means your child has not attended school from roll call this morning. If this happens, please follow the instructions in the SMS and contact the school to explain the absence of your child.
Depending on the success of this trial, we are looking to expand this program to Year 8 from next term.
In week 3, all Year 7 and 8 students will receive two letters:
1) a letter giving information on our new pilot program of the Sentral for Parents app and
2) a letter with a unique family key to use on the app to gain access on information on your child. Emails will also be sent to parents who have up-to-date emails with the school
Please search and download Sentral for Parents in your smartphone app store. This will give you access to:
Student absences
Submitting explanations for absences
School newsletters (Bidwill Events)
Daily notices involving your child
Published school reports (a hard copy will also be given)
The letter given to students contains your unique family key. This family key needs to be typed in exactly in the Sentral for Parents app to access information on your child. See the links on our CCBC Learning Hub for information on how to use the app and safety and security features.
Please see the videos below for guidance on how to Register an account on the Sentral for Parents app and how to check your child's attendance information. More videos will be added as we add more functionality to the app during our pilot stage.
