First Round VIDEO Audition
Perform two contrasting (different styles) pieces (from 2 to 3 minutes long demonstrating technical ability and personal expression)
Ensure audio quality of the video is clear
Ensure the balance between the soloist and the accompaniment is correct. It is important that the applicant can be heard clearly.
Record your audition in a room with a neutral acoustics (not a large hall or outside)
Students should be dressed in appropriate attire (please see below)
Student’s full body must be fully visible in the video at all times as performance presentation along with instrumental and vocal capabilities will also be considered
Please review the video before sending and ensure that it is appropriate for audition.

Please note: Only students who were successful at First Round Video Auditions will be invited back for Second Round Live Auditions
Perform the same TWO contrasting pieces (from 2 to 3 minutes long demonstrating technical ability and personal expression) as were presented in the Video Audition.
Students listening are expected to maintain appropriate concert etiquette.
Time will be given prior to the auditions for students to warm up their voices, set up their instruments and warm up and tune their instruments
Instrumentalists need to bring their own instruments and gear to the Audition with the exception of the following instruments and gear that are provided: Piano/Drum Kit/Amps. If using a backing track please bring your backing track on phone or USB.
Vocalists may bring an accompanist if this is required. Otherwise please provide your backing tracks on phone or USB.
