Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing

In NSW public schools the Learning Support Team is a whole school planning and support mechanism. Our purpose is to address the learning support needs of individual and groups of students through the coordination, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of educational programs. We work shoulder to shoulder with class teachers to support them to meet the needs of their students.

Supervised by  Sue Taylor (Deputy) and led by Narelle Lucas (AP), your Learning and Support Team is here to facilitate you in supporting the diverse needs of your students. Together they also co-ordinate our skilled and experienced SLSOs. The LaST also collaborates closely with with our EAL/D Teachers to ensure we meet the needs of our diverse community of learners. Our School Counsellors, also bring a wealth of expertise to the learning and support team.

Resilience

Resilience is what helps us cope when things go wrong. The more resilient we are, the more easily we can get through difficult times and cope with periods of stress.

It is essential for our mental health.  Resilience is not something we are simply born with.

Now is a great time to build resilience in our young ones and there are many ways to do this.
