Makerspace

Objectives

Makerspace provides opportunities for students to engage in engineering, mathematical and other science domain tasks in a casual and informal setting. Students have the opportunity to meet in the library conference room at lunch once a week. A puzzle or activity may be provided to students along with construction materials, alternatively some sessions are ‘build your own’ where students have the opportunity to build anything they would like.

The makerspace program allows students the opportunity to experiment and use trial and error when engaging in tasks without judgement. The sessions encourages team work amongst students across grades and peer groups.
