Dance

Rationale 

As a school BHNPS offers multiple Dance opportunities. The dancers will engage in a team environment where they collaborate with one another and the teacher to create a dance piece that is designed to inform, persuade or entertain the audience. 

The Dance programs provide multiple benefits and performance opportunities for the students involved. The dancers build friendships, teamwork and social skills while developing their fitness, coordination, confidence and body awareness.

Muirfield Dance (Years 5 & 6 with Year 8 dance students from Muirfield) 

The School’s Spectacular Dance Group (Every second year) 

Objectives 

They will learn the performance elements of Dance to enhance their technique and performance quality. 

Gain confidence and express themselves through their movement. 

Enjoy collaborating and building relationships with other students and schools. 

Selection Process 

Students will be selected into the program through audition only. Students who audition will be selected on their level of performance quality, technique, movement style, enthusiasm, commitment and ability to work as part of a team.
