Clarinet Ensemble

ABOUT:

The BHNPS Clarinet Ensemble consists of 7 students across Year 3 to 6. The group regularly meets each week to learn how to play the clarinet professionally.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Students who play the clarinet at beginner and intermediate level will audition with coordinators to determine whether they are suitable to join the group. The Clarinet Ensemble value students who show commitment to the group through their regular attendance in group activities as well as dedication and passion in developing their skills with the clarinet. The selection process is limited to students in Years 3-6.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM LOOK LIKE?

The group has practised and performed many classics such as “Yesterday” by The Beatles and are currently in preparation with some festive songs for school’s end of year Christmas celebrations.

There are many opportunities for students who join the Clarinet Ensemble. These include:

MEET THE TEACHERS/DELIVERERS

Lena Shim

Mrs Shim is the main coordinator and teacher running the Clarinet Ensemble. She has many years of teaching experience as a music teacher in Korea and has a huge passion for teaching instruments such as the piano, string instruments and the clarinet. She is also the conductor for the String Ensemble at BHNPS.
