Survey

The Student Use of Digital Devices and Online Services policy requires schools to consult with their school communities in the development of their school procedure.

In addition to the online meeting with parents a survey has been created to facilitate further input from our school community. Please take the time to complete the parent survey about the policies, procedures and practices relating to student use digital devices at school. Thank you.

BYODD at BHNPS

In 2021 all students in Years 4-6 will have the opportunity to bring their own device as part of the BYODD Program.

The iPad program will be fully integrated into classwork meaning students will be using their device at appropriate times in all areas of their learning program.

The BYODD Program allows all students across the school to have greater access to technology to enhance and support their learning. By having their own devices, students are able to seamlessly incorporate technologies into their learning program.

iPads in the Classroom

In this series of short films we will demonstrate how students use their iPads to enhance their learning.

Setting up Parental Controls

Having a device on hand at home all the time can be a challenge for parents when it comes to limiting their technology usage at home. Parental controls can be set on all devices which enable parents to control the amount of time spent on devices as well as the types of applications used.

Digital Citizenship

All students K-6 are taught how to be respectful, considerate and responsible digital citizens through the content delivered by their classroom teacher.

Students in Year 4-6 will partake in the e-smart digital licence program as part of their digital citizenship lessons. This program covers the importance of digital reputation, privacy, gaming, in-app purchasing, traps, screen-time implications, as well as friends and strangers.
