Traveling to STLP22 State: Things to Consider

STLP recognizes the travel time challenges faced with schools coming from extended distances. The schedule has been adjusted to push back to the latest possible start time still allowing for all events to have ample time for competition and judging. Thank you advance for all the additional efforts that will go towards securing travel for students!

Traffic - although Central Bank Center works with local Lexington Police Traffic Enforcement to alleviate traffic congestion, the typical morning commuter traffic can compound the 100s of school buses converging on Rupp Arena.

Follow the bus drop off route and procedures closely. They are designed with the help of professional event planners to make the morning and afternoon bus unloading/loading process run efficiently.

Judges should consider driving separately from the district bus. Judge Training begins at 9am EST...traveling separately could provide an additional hour+ of time to the bus arrival window.
