KDE’s Principal Partnership Project (P3) team is seeking twenty (20) principals/assistant principals, from across the Commonwealth, who are motivated to enhance feedback systems using a coaching and professional collaboration model.  Selected participants will receive a $1,500.00 professional learning scholarship to fund in-person Cognitive Coaching training/related expenses as well as follow up virtual support to promote deeper understanding and application of research-anchored feedback models that are focused on enhancing the development of teachers’ and staff members’ practice.

Due to the limited number of 2023-24 scholarships available, participants will be selected based on a competitive application process.

The Coach Approach for Principals (CAP) is a program facilitated by KDE’s Principal Partnership Project (P3) team designed to support principals in enhancing reflective leadership practices.

The program is an opportunity for Kentucky principals to collaborate and learn together to move beyond the compliance factor of teacher evaluation to true growth and professional enhancement that supports school improvement.

From authentic peer-to-peer conversations and intensive coaching training, the project will serve as a statewide catalyst for principals to be lead learners and robust champions of professional reflection and growth.
