The School SIMS Cohort
For School Administrators
The P3 Team is excited to announce the School SIMS Cohort for 2023-24!
The Cohort will meet four times this year. We will use School SIMS to foster discussion on situations that leaders have to make every day. This cohort is open to principals, assistant principals, and aspiring principals.
The dates that this cohort will meet are:
November 30th (this was an awesome meeting - don't miss the next one!)
January 25th (a 2nd great meeting - don't miss out in March!)
April 19th (Please update your calendar for the new date.)
Meetings will be from 10:00-11:00 EST and will be virtual on the Zoom platform so school leaders can participate from anywhere.
Asst. Principal Cohort 23-24
Calling All Assistant Principals:
The Assistant Principal (AP) position is a unique role. As such, the P3 Team has developed a unique professional learning cohort to support assistant principals. This cohort addresses current best practices in school leadership with the role of the Assistant Principal specifically in mind. The first virtual meeting had great participation! Don’t miss out on this FREE opportunity to network and collaborate with other Assistant Principals (without leaving your building) for our two remaining dates: March 6th and April 18th. Meetings will be from 10:00-11:00 EST and 1:30-2:30 EST and will be virtual on the Zoom platform. Choose the time that works best for your schedule. EILA credit is available for each session. PrAC (Principal Advisory Council)
Purpose: The Principals Advisory Council (PrAC) provides direct input to Kentucky’s Commissioner of Education about important issues in Kentucky schools. The council allows for discussion and feedback from the field about topics that will lead to the improvement of Kentucky public schools and the opportunities they afford students. The goal of the council is to ensure excellent teaching and learning is happening in every classroom in every Kentucky school. The P3 Team collaborates with the PrAC Chairperson and the Commissioner of Education to develop meeting agendas, coordinate guest speakers and presenters, and publicize the meetings and related materials. All PrAC meetings are recorded and accessible for viewing at the KDE's website. If you are interested in serving on the PrAC, please contact P3 Team Member Stacy Noah (stacy.noah@education.ky.gov).
